TEACHING RESIDENCIES

Collaborate with other musicians and mentor beginning music students through a self-designed teaching model. Continuo musicians are selected to participate in both long-term and short-term residencies in the spring and fall, drawing upon their performance experience to exercise teaching tools in music, with an emphasis on young people in underserved communities. Experiences range from single-day full programming to 4-6 week workshop projects.

COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES

Connect with other young musicians and perform classical music for a range of audiences throughout the Boston area! Throughout the year, Continuo musicians perform in community performances for a wide range of audiences at venues throughout the Greater Boston area, including the Boston Children’s Museum, Center Communities of Brookline, and Goddard House. Each concert features a unique set of musicians and an innovative approach focused on audience engagement.

As someone who had only performed in formal concert hall settings before joining Continuo, it really was priceless having the opportunity to work with young children. I learned so much about audience interaction and engagement through this setting, and I would definitely go back if I have the chance in the future.
